Who Dat? Who Dat?

Apparently this is an old one, but its the first time I have heard it. Now, I would normally ever trust a rapper with the same name as a footballer, HOWEVER this joint got the bounce. J.Cole delivers BIG. Bumps hard in the club and has a reminiscent vibe of the first time you heard Casiddy's 'Hustla'. The ROC is in the building...

Straighten It Out....

John Legend and The Roots got together with J.Period for the official Wake Up! mixtape. Below is the first release from “Wake Up! Radio.”

With John Legend & The Roots joining forces to re ignite the vibes of songs like Ernie Hines’ “Our Generation”, it was only fitting for J.Period to reunite the group that first sampled Hines’ on their seminal ’92 single “Straighten It Out” — Pete Rock & CL Smooth. Back together on wax for the first time in 7 years, Pete & CL are in rare form on “Our Generation (J.Period Remix),” spitting lyrics that remind us why you nearly wet yourself when you first heard em...

G.O.O.D Fridays...

With the anticipated arrival of Kanye West's next offering on the horizon, He has also decided to introduce us to G.O.O.D Fridays. For the last two weeks he has dropped previously unreleased songs every Friday. It is believed that some of the songs will be featured on his upcoming album, although it is not currently clear if all of the tracks he releases during the promotion will make the cut.

The most recent song he leaked is actually called “Good Friday,” and features Kid Cudi and Common. It is surprising that he is releasing songs with high profile guest appearances instead of saving them for his album. Previously, Kanye released the song “Monster” which featured Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross.
