For the last time this year, the Main Squeeze posse drop into the
Big Chill Bar, Brick Lane for none other than the New Years Eve top spot.
On the night DJ's Brad Baloo, Chris Read, WrongTom, BobaFatt,
Mo Fingaz, Max D & Flipz will be delivering party bangers on repeat from 9pm til 5am. FREE entry. IT'S A BEAUTIFUL THING....
One half of the UK Hip Hop DJ Duo - THE NEXTMEN. The big man needs no introduction having smashed many a festival and nightclub around the country and over the pond. The Nextmen's history leaves them & their beloved followers armed with albums, singles, mash-up edits, bootlegs, specials, mixes, remixes, podcasts, DJ sets and live shows, blending anything worth listening to, be it dancehall, drum’n’bass, dubstep, reggae, roots, instrumental and actual hip hop, soul and soulful low-end boomp, funk & funky. NYE will be NO Execption.
11 years as Promoter and resident DJ at SUBSTANCE (one of the longest running and largest regular hip hop funk and beats nights in the UK) and also founder member of Classic Material, DJ Chris Read had earned his stripes in the game years ago. Formerly a BBC 1Xtra regular, Chris was also recently named winner of Mixcloud's BBE mix competition. One of the tightest, funkiest DJ's on the wheels. We at Main Squeeze are pumped to have him back to spin again.
WrongTom is a Producer/DJ from South London, now residing in the not-so-trendy reaches of the East End, he spends his days playing with tape echo and watching B-movies in his makeshift studio hidden away in a converted nunnery. Recently producing Roots Manuva's latest full-length offering 'Duppy Writer' (Big Dada), and spinning regularly for the likes of the Skylarkin crew, WrongTom will standardly rock a party right, each & every time.
BobaFatt was named 'M1X It Up Challenge' Winner on MistaJam's BBC 1Xtra show in 2006 & was the originator of Hip Hop night StoneGruve Social, named Hip Hop Connection's 'Club Of The Month' along the way. In addition to co-running Main Squeeze, he is also a resident for Soundcrash & Nice Up!, and has played at venues such as Koko, The Roundhouse, Cargo and festivals such as Glastonbury. He's done session work for artists such as DJ Yoda & Jimmy Screech (Banana Klan) and warmed up for the likes of DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Krush, KRS ONE, DJ Kentaro, M.O.P, The Herbaliser, Scratch (The Roots), Lord FInesse, The Pharcyde, Foreign Beggars, Chase & Status and Bonobo. By day he currently works as Hip Hop / Dance Buyer for the record store Rough Trade.
Potty mouthed tequila fuelled boom batty Main Squeeze founder Mo Fingaz, has over the years warmed up for the likes of Maseo, Jazzy Jeff & DJ Cash Money as well as Grand Master Flash, Pharoahe Monch, M.O.P, Jean Grae, Chase & Status, The Nextmen & Toddla T. Although Main Squeeze is home, he is also a resident for NiceUp! & Reggae Roast. By day he works as graphic designer for the clothing label Fenchurch and by night owns his own creative design outfit called Fullfat Creative which boasts many of London's club nights artwork, as well as record sleeves, t shirt designs, vinyl releases and branding ventures.
Badboy DJ hailing from Bath/Bristol in the South-West. He is no stranger to smashing up clubs with his UK Garage/Deep House sounds. Max has been a solid Main Squeeze resident since day one and has travelled the country merking dancefloors and festivals. Watch The Ride.
Flipz is a busy boy. As well as being a paid producer by day, he deejays both Hip Hop & Dubstep sets across the country at clubs & festivals at night. Main Squeeze & Fake Fake Records resident and DJ for UK rapper Brotherman, he is guaranteed to rock the floor, whatever genre he decides to bring. Standard.
