Wicked 90's Pirate Vibes on this Video (truth be told, I prefer the video to the track, but still a good throwback cheesey rave vibe on this one, and that's always a good Summertime look...)
Toddla T drafts in Miss Shola Ama and Mr J2K on vocal duties for this one.
Taken from his forthcoming album 'Watch Me Dance' dropping on Ninja Tune later this year.

The Beastie Boys set up this stream yesterday morning via their blog, live from the New York Knicks home, Madison Square Garden.
'Hot Sauce Committee Part Two' is out very soon, featuring Nas, Santigold & a bunch of other cats. It is awfully good.

D.R.E.A.M.
BobaFatt's little brother, Renoir, has been producing beats for a minute now.
One example can be found above - a track by MCX, influenced by the
Wu Tang Clan classic 'C.R.E.A.M.' The video was put together by Rawlinx and Calico Dawn.
I'm hella proud of my bro..
Further tastes of Renoir's varied styles can be found HERE.

Mo Kolours
Straight-up fam with us at Main Squeeze, is the man like Mo Kolours, brother of the previously blogged Tightface.
Following on the momentum of the recent heat from Tightface's mixtape, Mo Kolours debut EP drops on One Handed Music in May.
'Drum Talking' features five tracks of Mo's unique combination of Mauritian sega music, dub, soul, jazz and various electronic styles, plus a heavyweight edit. Biddies is a bumping house-not-house gem propelled by Mo's handclaps, vocal manipulations and chants that draws an invisible line between the work of Theo Parrish and Gonjasufi while staying firmly in its own lane. Plaudits include Gilles Peterson, Hot Chip's Joe Godard, Optimo's JD Twitch and more.
You can download one of the tracks, 'Biddies', for free HERE.
Big Bashy Big Chill Mixtape
As we've said already, this Saturday night at the Big Chill Bar, Brick Lane, BobaFatt & DJ LoK get their birthday swagger on, with Mo Fingaz helping us make some noise.
Big Chill asked me for a mix for their Mixcloud page to commemorate this occasion. Being the mixtape addict that I am, I, of course, obliged.
Tracklist & download link is on the link above. 'Ave It.

Revenge Of The Drifter...
So, for anyone that didn't know, a YouTube clip cropped up a few months ago, filmed behind twitching curtains, showing Jehst as a postman. This meant that *shock* highly-respected British musicians have DAY JOBS!
Like, who would have thought it?...
Anyone that has any incling as to how much money highly-respected British musicians actually make, is who would have thought it. So that's pretty much everyone that works in the music industry.
For anyone else that didn't know, Jehst is one of the UK's finest MC's, and has been for a minute.
So, he's flipped that weird YouTube viral (now rumoured to be created by Jehst himself), and turned it into a SICK video for his new heat, 'Starting Over', forthcoming on his new album on YNR Records, 'The Dragon Of An Ordinary Family'.
Publicity stunt, or not, this is seriously dope.
Don't call it a comeback.

Party Like It's Our Birthday...

Myself & DJ LoK (and Biz Markie) share the same birthday. Last year we knocked up a joint mixtape to celebrate - this year we're holding a joint party. And YOU, my friend, are invited..
Saturday 9th April, 8pm - 1am at Main Squeeze's home from home, The Big Chill Bar on Brick Lane.
As well as DJ Lok & BobaFatt, DJ Mo Fingaz will be propping up the birthday boys, should their swagger run too deep on the evening.
Free entry, beats, treats and good vibes aplenty.
In the meantime, here's the mixes we knocked up last year. Enjoy!...

Wu Time....
On Tuesday 19th April 2011, Jazz Café and Mean Fiddler presents GZA (of the Wu-Tang Clan) + DJ Shepdog (Nice Up!) at the Garage –Highbury & Islington, London. Tickets £17.50 // Doors 7pm - Late
For the past 15 years, GZA has been stretching the sensibility of modern-day hip-hop with his finely crafted, thought provoking wordplay which he credits to his willingness to delve deep into the written word. As one of the founding members of the mighty Wu-Tang Clan, GZA’s mic mastery first gained prominence in 1993 with the release of the Clan’s first LP, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). Two years later, GZA released his second solo album, Liquid Swords on Geffen Records which went on to sell over one million copies and earn a platinum plaque. Throughout his various projects with the Wu and classic appearances on other member’s side projects, GZA maintained a reputation as a skilled wordsmith with a highly recognizable and authoritative delivery.
