The Glorious Dead
Coming up through the Bath music scene, we at Main Squeeze take a lot of sincere pride everytime we see someone from the South West come up and successfully smack the world with their creativity.
This is absolutely the case with this lot - perhaps the most of the lot, this band are very near & dear to our hearts.
If you don't know about The Heavy, google them.
Their fusion of Funk, Rock, Blues, Reggae & Hip Hop is exemplary of the sounds we've represented over the years.
From seeing these guys around the city individually, to regularly DJing alongside front man Kelvin back in the day, to promoting their very first live show, to see Bristol stand up & take notice, to watch them release two proper albums, to see them get rave reviews in the press, to see them tour the world, to see them prompt US chat show host David Letterman to ask for a rewind (a TV first), to seeing them creep onto more & more major motion picture soundtracks / adverts / TV shows, to hear their track being used on the BBC to warm up the world for Usain Bolt's 100m run a few weeks ago, to watching Kelv get hitched this very weekend, at the sweatiest, duttiest, heaviest wedding of the year...
To say we're proud of this lot is an understatement. This lot are fucking family. For reals.
