Truthfully, there was so much hype preceding the album 'Channel Orange' I chose not to fuck with it. I ended up being force fed it at work, and now, I can't front, R&B album of the year. There are some kinda generic bits - which aren't bad, just generic - and some real classic moments of Soul on here.
This track is, for me, somewhere inbetween. Sonically doesn't blow me away, but there's no disputing it's epic.
Plus, in true Odd Future style, this video is fucked.
If David Lynch made R&B videos, they'd probably look like this.
Sex, drugs, violence, with a little touch of something other-wordly.
